PRE-CARE

For best results, we recommend increasing water intake 72-48 hrs before your visit. Please avoid blood thinners including vitamin e, aspirin, pre-workout and alcohol 24 hrs prior to your visit. If on Accutane, please stop taking 1 week prior. Avoid waxing or threading 5 days prior to your visit. Make sure to purchase Neutrogena, Dial or Cetaphil soap for aftercare.

AFTERCARE

With the proper aftercare routine you will have better results with your microblading procedure.  Below are some tips to help with a smooth and easy recovery.

UP TO ONE HOUR AFTER APPOINTMENT

Gently blot the area with a clean tissue to adsorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 5 minutes for the hour after your appointment until oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph.

DAYS 1-7

Refrain from doing anything to your eyebrows for the first 24 hrs.

Gently wash once a day with water and an antibacterial soap like Dial, Cetaphil or Neutrogena to remove bacteria and dead skin. Don’t worry…this does NOT remove pigment. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows. Rub the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. Do NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic or AHA) or any exfoliants.

Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and speard it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.

Other important reminders:

  • Use a fresh pillow case
  • Let any scabbing or dry skin natural exfoliate away
  • Picking can use scarring or loss of color
  • Avoid hot, sweaty exercise or heavy sweating for 10 days
  • Avoid swimming, lakes, hot tubs and long showers for 10 days
  • Avoid sleeping on your face for 10 days
  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks, wear a hat when outdoors
  • No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks
  • Avoid topical makeup including sunscreen on the treated area
  • Do NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area

When showering:
Limit your shower to 5 minutes so you do not create too much steam.  Keep your face/treated area out of the water while you wash your body, then towards the end of your shower, wash your hair.  Your face should only be getting wet at the very end of the shower.  Avoid excessing rinsing and hot water on the treated area.
